I am an avid cook and currently in the process of publishing my first cookbook on Indian vegetarian cuisine.   This project started about 18 years ago, after I suffered a traumatic car accident in 1988 which damaged my spine leaving me partially paralyzed on my left leg.  I do extensive physical therapy to prevent muscle atrophy but still must deal with chronic pain that those with SCI can relate to.

Over the past 15 years or so I started documenting my various family recipes which were passed on to me by my mother when I was growing up in India.  When my family and I stepped back and looked at how many recipes were compiled I decided that it was worth exploring the idea of putting out a cookbook and I have spent most of 2005 and 2006 rewriting and editing the manuscript.  I’m hoping to have the book published this year and plan to use this blog as way to share additional recipes I develop as well as just general thoughts on cooking techniques.

Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions about the recipes, techniques, or my cookbook.

Happy cooking!

    Hi Naani
Every year at the hot and spicy fest at harbour front we taste and buy you products.
my favorite and of my family too is “NAANI’S RECIPE”
tamarind chutney. I use it on lamb and steaks and it is perfect for marinating ,with a little juice, fish like salmon and big shrimp.I know that with a lot of effort I can make a tamarind paste-but I’d rather get yours.Advise me please -where and how to get this magical sauce. a fan of spice, Jocelyne
